How to View a Transfer Credit Report

Ryerson undergraduate degree or certificate students may submit online, courses completed at other accredited Ontario institutions for credit towards their Ryerson program of study.

Students that have taken courses at institutions outside of Ontario must manually submit a transfer credit application form to ESSR.

The transfer credit process is:

  • The student enters the details of the course they want to be evaluated for a transfer credit.
  • The Transfer Credit office verifies their submission and, if necessary, forwards it to the appropriate faculty for evaluation – a process that can take six to eight weeks.
  • Once the evaluation is done, students and staff can view the results on their Transfer Credit Report.

Students may come to you with questions such as:

  • How do I interpret my Transfer Credit Report?
  • What is a GEN credit?
  • When can I expect the results of my submission?
  • The course I submitted was denied, can I appeal?
  • I've been granted a credit that does not apply to my program requirements, how can it be applied?
