How to Swap a Class

The swap a class function lets you to keep your seat in the class until the swap is completed and you are successfully enrolled in the new class.

You can swap a class by using the Enroll link in the Academics section of your home page.

To Swap a Class

1. Click the Enroll link.

2. Select the applicable Term and Career.
3. Click    CONTINUE  .

4. Click the swap tab.

This is where you select the class to be swapped out. First you select the class from your current schedule. Then you search for a class to replace it, either from the course catalog or select one that is in your Shopping Cart.

5. Select the Class to be swapped out from the drop-down box.
6. Click    search  .

You start your search by entering your search criteria for the class to be swapped in. You can do a simple search by selecting a Course Subject and Course Number search criteria.

7. Enter the 3-letter code for the Course Subject from your academic calendar.

8.  Select a filter for the Course Number from the drop-down box and enter a corresponding number.

9. Click   SEARCH  .

Classes that meet your search criteria display. You can browse the list and select the one that best meets your needs.

10. Click   select class   beside the class you wish to swap in.

11. Confirm that you have selected the correct class to be swapped in.
12. Click   NEXT  .

This shows the classes to be swapped so that you can confirm that you have selected the correct ones.

13. Confirm that you have the correct classes to swap.
14. Click    FINISH SWAPPING  .

Your submission has been evaluated and the result is shown in the Message column.

There are two types of messages that you might receive:

                              Message                                                               Status

• Success - you have swapped the classes successfully         √
• Error – a potential problem has been found that has                  √ or X
  stopped you from swapping the classes
