Peer Support

This dynamic program has Ryerson Aboriginal students who do outreach and provide peer support to Aboriginal student's on-campus.
Drop by the Peer Support office to access student resource information, to find out about our educational, social and cultural events and how you can get involved.
All Aboriginal, Métis and Inuit students are eligible and welcome to participate in the Aboriginal Peer Support program.

This year's Peer Supporters:
Mell Compton: Mell is a First Nations Qu'alipu (Caribou) Mi'Kmaq. She is majoring in Child & Youth Care and minoring in Criminal Justice studies at Ryerson.
Ryan Besito: Ryan is from Saugeen First Nations and from the beaver clan. He is in his fourth year of Early Childhood Education at Ryerson.
Nancy Jonston: Nancy is Ojibway from Nipissing First Nation in the North Bay area. She is in her third year of Image Arts New Media at Ryerson.
Tamara Pokrupa-Nahanni: Tamara is Dene from Liidlii Kue Fist Nation in Northwest Territories. She is in her fourth year of the Image Arts New Media Program at Ryerson.







Our offices are located on the third floor of West Kerr Hall, room KHW 389.
