Using the Special Purpose Labs
Only authorized users, who are given a door access code by their instructors, can access these labs and door codes are changed on a weekly basis. All users have to login to use the workstations and must log out before leaving. These systems run Windows 7. For instructions on logging in, logging out and some basic uses of Windows 7, please see the Quick Guide to Using Windows 7 section of this guide.

KHW71A - Multi Media LAB
There are 31, 3.0 GHz, Pentium C2 Duo, 4 GB RAM, DVD+RW Burner, Sound Card, Windows 7 workstations with 20” LCD monitors. This lab offers one image scanner and two video stations. An instructor station is also available with a SXGA+ resolution projector.
In total, there is one ESPON scanner. Information on the correct use of this device is available in the Using Scanners in ACS Labs section of the User’s Guide.
KHW71B
There are 32 workstations which are Intel(R) Xeon(R) systems, with 2.67 GHz processors, 12 GB of RAM and 23" dual monitors. The lab is dedicated to higher-end computing tasks. It also offers a high-resolution projection system.
