Using Your Computer
Free Software (Download & Virtual Applications)
There are several ways to get access to free software for your laptop or home computer. You can download many free applications from the Internet; the Ryerson CCS Department also provides a few free software applications to students and staff. Virtual Applications (VApps) provides secure access to licensed software applications from anywhere you have an internet connection.
Ryerson offers some Free Downloadable Software through the CCS website. Free Online Software is also available for download from the Internet.
Ryerson's Virtual Applications (VApps) provides secure access to licensed software applications from anywhere with an Internet connection. Using Virtual Applications, you can access applications without having them installed on your computer's local hard drive. The applications reside on a server and can be accessed once you log into the Virtual Applications web site at https://vapps.ryerson.ca.
