Meet the President

Ian Horne

As some of you may know, the Ryerson University Alumni Association (RUAA) was established in fall of 2008.  For the past few years our work has been keenly focused on getting our house in order.  We have established our Constitution and By-Laws, streamlined our processes and recruited an extremely talented Board of Directors who are dedicated to serving their fellow alumni.  With these accomplishments, I'm proud to report that our house and yours is now very much in order.  We are now looking to characterize the coming year's work by getting down to business and focusing on the things that really matter to you.

Our mission is to deliver the best alumni experience possible while strengthening and contributing to the advancement of our University. Communication and advocacy are two areas that we will focus on to achieve this goal in the coming year.  But we need your help if we're to be successful.

What can you do?  Be vocal.  Tell us what you're looking for from your alumni association. Attend events, get involved.  Join an alumni group and be a part of making it the robust business network you need.  Not only will you benefit from the joys of reconnecting with friends or meeting new business associates but you'll be a part of building something great.  Our pledge to you?  We'll continue to work hard to add the value you want out of your alumni experience and relationship with Ryerson.

Stay in touch. Get involved. Enjoy the privileges.
