Welcome to Ryerson University Magazine!

Summer 2013 issue

In the cover story of the latest edition of Ryerson University Magazine, a dozen recent graduates share their tips to find meaningful work. For example, commerce graduate Salman Habib started his own business. A co-founder of Tapgage, based at the Digital Media Zone, the entrepreneur envisions the company as the first of many ventures.

Elsewhere in this issue, “Learning for life” written by Chantal Braganza, celebrates the 50th anniversary of the Early Childhood Studies Early Learning Centre, where over the years many children have learned and been cared for, and where students in the Early Childhood Studies program gain experience that enhances their academic learning. Also, read about the latest science research on chocolate and salt, conducted in the lab of Dérick Rousseau. Meet Wikimedia Foundation’s Susan Gardner as she bridges the gender gap among editors of the online encyclopedia. And hear how publishing maven Nicole Winstanley built a career based on her love of reading.
