Ryerson University has partnered with Harris Connect to update contact information for our alumni so they can stay in touch with each other and keep up-to-date on Ryerson news and events. Harris Connect will then produce Ryerson University Alumni Directory, a hardcover alumni directory with anecdotes and photos submitted by alumni.

Ryerson University Alumni Directory will be a wonderful keepsake and reference tool which you can purchase and use to reconnect with old friends and network professionally. A CD-Rom version of the directory will also be available for purchase.

The data collection phase of this project begins in February 2012. Harris Connect will contact you by email and/or regular mail or by phone to verify and update your contact and career information.

Participation

Alumni participation in this project is completely voluntary and free of charge. Harris will respect requests to limit some or all of the information shared. Please make your wishes known to the Harris representative when they contact you.

Do I have to participate in the Alumni Directory?

No, participation is completely voluntary. For those who decline to participate in the directory, only public information such as Name, Program and Year of Graduation will be listed.

Note, you can update your contact information with Harris and request that it not be “published” in the directory. In this case you would be excluded from the directory but would still be able to receive Ryerson University communications such as our alumni magazine and e-newsletter.

I don’t want my information published but I want to receive communications from Ryerson. What do I do?

I just got a call from an American company wanting my contact information, is this legitimate?

Ryerson University has partnered with a U.S. based company called Harris Connect to update contact information for Ryerson alumni and then produce an alumni directory with this information called Ryerson University Alumni Directory.

What will my information be used for?

The information collected by Harris Connect will be shared with Ryerson University who will use it to contact you from time to time about programs, services, news, and events that might be of interest to you as a Ryerson graduate. It will also be published in an alumni directory called Ryerson University Alumni Directory, unless you declined to have it shared in this publication.
