The RJAA frequently sets up seminars at the School of Journalism. In the past, we've had seminars for freelancers, business writing, and for those in public relations. Wordstock is our flagship event (this link is to an account of the 2009 version) and it takes place in the early fall to coincide with the university's annual Alumni Weekend festivities.
In the past, we have had St. Patrick's Day parties, farewells to longtime professors (namely Buck Johnston, Larry Perks and Don Gibb), breakfasts featuring well-known speakers, and seminars directed at students such as coping with anxiety, preparing effective resumes, and what employers expect. We plan to do more, and get more fun events organized with help from you, our alumni colleagues.
