Guest speaker
SIMON ADAM is our featured guest speaker, and will be presenting his research regarding institution ethnography (IE), a critical examination of the factors that affect bedside nursing.
Simon completed his Bachelor of Science in Nursing at Ryerson and his Masters in Education at University of Toronto.
Simon is currently a PhD student at the Ontario Institute for Studies in Education of the University of Toronto. He practices emergency nursing at Sunnybrook Health Sciences Centre and teaches for Centennial College in the Collaborative Nursing Degree Program. His areas of research include health care institutions, sociopolitical analysis, health care politics, and qualitative research. Other interests include social movements, social movement learning, mental health, electroconvulsive therapy, community organizing, and activism.

1. Facilitate nursing alumni collegiality;
2. Promote pride and commitment of the alumnae to Ryerson University and the Daphne Cockwell School of Nursing;
3. encourage continued commitment to Nursing Education and professional development
