2013 / 15th Annual Spring Reception
This year's event will be held on Thursday, May 23rd, 2013, starting at 6 PM at a new location! For the first time, the RPA will host the Annual Spring Reception at the new Mattamy Athletic Centre, formerly known as Maple Leaf Gardens.
Attendees will be treated to great food, live music and a silent auction as they mix, mingle and enjoy the atmosphere of this iconic landmark.
The RPA Committee is pleased to have its event supported by a wide sector of the planning and development community including municipalities, development companies, engineering firms, law firms, land surveying companies, consultants and of course, planning firms. 2013 / 4th Annual RAPS-RPA Alumni Networking Event
The RPA Committee would like to inform you that over the past couple of months the committee has strengthened its relationship with Ryerson’s Career Mentorship Program. This unique program allows experienced professionals working in the planning realm to provide one-on-one mentorship to senior students from Ryerson’s Urban and Regional Planning Program for a four month period. It is important to note that Career Mentors do not have to be Ryerson Alumni. Furthermore, this volunteer opportunity is not a big time commitment (i.e. 1-2 h / month) and the Student Mentee can meet the Career Mentor when / where it is most convenient for the Mentor (i.e. meetings can occur during lunch, after work etc.). RPA’s Career Mentorship Program will be kicked off at our 4th Annual Networking Event on Tuesday, January 22, 2013 at 6:30 PM. Professionals with experience in the planning realm and graduates from all planning schools are encouraged to RSVP for the networking event via raps@ryerson.ca.

RAPS-RPA Alumni Networking Event
This year, the Ryerson Planning Alumni and the Ryerson Association of Planning Students will host the 3rd annual RAPS-RPA Alumni Networking Event. The event allows Ryerson Planning alumni to share their experiences and words of encouragement with current Ryerson Planning students.
The event is scheduled for Sunday, March 4th between 3 -6 PM. It will take place at Milestone's Grill & Bar located at 10 Dundas St E. (north east corner of Yonge and Dundas). Food will be provided at no cost. Please RSVP by contacting rpa@ryerson.ca, and include your full name and job title. Alumni from all institutions are welcome!
