The Faculty of Arts Experiential Learning Initiatives Grant is an internal granting program to help faculty develop, disseminate and sustain forms of course-based experiential learning. Faculty members with a track record of experiential learning activities and those who are new to this area of work are encouraged to apply for these grants. The projects must involve Faculty of Arts undergraduate students and therefore are limited to professional (required or elective) courses in Arts undergraduate programs. The grant program is designed to provide faculty members with resources to enable them to undertake, evaluate and report on forms of experiential learning in their courses. Grant applications must include specific goals, evaluation processes and report-back procedures. The exchange of information on experiential learning within and beyond the Faculty of Arts is one of the goals of these grants.
The grants will normally range from $500 to $4,500.
For more information about the grant and application process, please contact the Faculty of Arts Teaching Chair, Dr. Alan Sears (asears@ryerson.ca), or the Faculty of Arts Associate Dean, Dr. Marcia Moshé (mmoshe@ryerson.ca).
