Development of New Liberal Studies Courses

Call for Proposals

The Liberal Studies Committee invites all Ryerson departments and programs to submit potential liberal studies courses for consideration.  The committee assesses proposed courses according to the criteria set out in the Guidelines (see below).

There is an annual call in May/June for new liberal studies course proposals, for inclusion in the Fall curriculum of the subsequent academic year. Proposals are reviewed by the Liberal Studies Curriculum Committee during the first few weeks in June.  Approved courses proceed to the Liberal Studies Council and Ryerson's Senate in the Fall for final approval.
