Volunteer Opportunities in Toronto

There are countless opportunities to volunteer in the GTA, and with a bit of effort, you will easily find a position to fit your interests and your availability.

To find a volunteer position that is right for you, consider the following:

  • How much time can I commit?
  • Am I looking for a long-term position or a short-term opportunity?
  • What are the skills, interests and experience that I would like to share?
  • What experience am I looking to gain?
  • What issues in the community do I think are important (e.g. environment, arts, health, etc.) and how would I like to help?
  • What location do I prefer - do I want to volunteer in my community or close to university?

Knowing the answers to these questions will allow you to refine your search for a position.

Volunteer Toronto makes searching for a volunteer opportunity easy, with a frequently updated database of positions through over 450 not-for-profits in the city. You can search the website by activity, type of organization, postal code, or keywork.
