FALL 2002

Friday, June 7Final date to apply for Transfer Credits for Fall 2002 term (returning students only). (A $25 non-refundable, late fee will apply after this date until September 6).
Monday, July 1Canada Day (University closed).
Friday, July 5Final date to clear all outstanding financial records for the 2002-2003 academic year, otherwise no further registration will be permitted.
Friday, July 12Final date to apply for Fall 2002 Convocation (no late fee). A non-refundable late fee will apply after this date until August 16.
Monday, August 5Civic Holiday (University closed).
Friday, August 16Final date to apply for Fall 2002 Convocation (with applicable late

fees).

Friday, August 30Fall term registration and orientation activities. Continuing Education registration continues until Saturday, September 7.
Friday, August 30Final date to cancel an Application to Graduate for Fall 2002 Convocation.
Monday, September 2Labour Day (University closed).
Tuesday, September 3Classes commence for full- and part-time programs. Note: for Part-time programs, some courses will begin on Monday, September 9, see your Fall timetable for further information.
Friday, September 6Final date for admission, re-admission or re-instatement to a Full-time degree program or as a Special Student for the Fall 2002 term.
Friday, September 6Final date for payment of fees for the academic year (Fall and Winter terms).

Friday, October 11Final date to submit OSAP application to be eligible to receive funding for the current September to April academic year. Applications submitted after this date will be eligible to receive OSAP funding from the date the application is received.

Friday, October 25Final date to submit an application for re-admission or re-instatement into a program for the Winter 2003 term (for guaranteed consideration).
Thursday, October 31A $100 charge will be levied for each Fall 2002 course or grade added to a studentís academic record after this date.
Friday, November 1Final date to officially drop a one-term course(s) in good Academic Standing (no refund of fees). Students dropping a one-term course(s) after this date will be assigned a failing grade.
Friday, November 1Final date to withdraw from a program for the Fall 2002 term in good Academic Standing (no refund of Fall 2002 fees).
Friday, November 1Final date to apply for Transfer Credits for Winter 2003 (returning students

only). A $25 non-refundable late fee will apply after this date until February 28, 2003.

Week of November 4Fall 2002 Convocation Ceremonies.
Friday, November 22Final date to appeal mid-term marks given for course work graded prior to final mark (ie. Inability to complete term work).
Monday, December 2Classes end for Full- and Part-time programs.
Note: for Part-time program students, some classes May continue until Monday, December 9.
Wednesday, December 4 to
Saturday, December 14Fall term examination period, including Saturday, December 7 and December 14.
Week of December 9Classes end for Continuing Education, except for Monday classes which will end on Monday,
December 16.
Friday, December 13Deadline for clearing any outstanding debt, library book/fine, or other borrowed property in excess of $5 to ensure that Fall 2002 grades are not withheld.
Saturday, December 14Official end of term.
Wednesday, December 25 to
Wednesday, January 1Mid-Year Break. The University will close at the end of Tuesday, December 24 and reopen at 8:00 a.m., Thursday, January 2.
