THE WRITING CENTRE
The Writing Centre offers free one-on-one peer tutoring to assist Ryerson students to improve their writing to the standards expected by their professional colleagues and future employers. Beyond this, The Writing Centre encourages the practice of writing as an art in its own right: the development of a personal style which is aesthetically satisfying and a powerful tool for discovery and communication.
It also offers extra sessions and handouts on particular strategies of organization, writing and revision. It has a collection of writing texts which students may borrow, and free guides to referencing and bibliography following MLA and APA style.
The Main Writing Centre is open between 10 a.m. and 6:30 p.m., Monday to Thursday, and between 10 a.m. and 2 p.m. on Fridays. It can be found right next to the Library entrance (LIB-266A).
