GEOGRAPHIC ANALYSIS
Administered by the Department of Geography
DEGREE: Four years of study following OAC graduation.
ADMISSION: O.S.S.D. with six Grade 12 U/M or OAC courses, including the following:
NEW CURRICULUM: Grade 12 U English with a minimum grade of 60 percent or higher.
OLD CURRICULUM: OAC English with a minimum grade of 60 percent or higher.
NOTES:
1— ENG4U/EAE4U or English/Anglais OAC 1 is the preferred English.
2— Under the new curriculum students are encouraged to include one of: Grade 12 U Geometry and Discrete Mathematics (MGA4U), Advanced Functions and Introductory Calculus (MCB4U), or Mathematics of Data Management (MDM4U), and one of Grade 12 U Canadian and World Issues: A Geographical Analysis (CGW4U), or World Geography: Human Patterns & Interactions (CGU4U), or Grade 12 M Environment & Resource Mgt. (CGR4M) or Geomatics: Geotechnologies in Action (CGO4M) in their Grade 12 program.
Under the old curriculum students are encouraged to include Geography and Mathematics (one of Calculus, Algebra & Geometry or Finite Mathematics) in their OAC program.
3— Applicants will be requested to appear for an admissions preview where travelling distance permits.
4— Ryerson will allow the mixing of U, M and OAC courses as applicable but comparable courses will not be double-counted. As well, Ryerson will not accept the "out of school" component of Grade 12 U/M co-op courses for admission consideration.
5— Subject to competition, candidates may be required to present averages/grades above the minimum.
