MATHEMATICS MINOR
The purpose of the Minor is to offer students an opportunity to attain greater breadth and depth in mathematics than their program normally requires.
Courses can be pursued in depth in the general areas of Linear Algebra, Calculus, Statistics, and Discrete Mathematics (where appropriate).
To receive the Minor, a student must complete six one-term courses (or equivalent) from the following course of study:
MTH 401 MTH 505 MTH 607 MTH 712
MTH 404 MTH 540 MTH 609 MTH 714
MTH 501 MTH 601 MTH 640 MTH 814
MTH 503 MTH 603 MTH 710
Applied Computer Science students may apply MTH 405 towards the
Minor with five courses from the above list required in addition. One of these five
will be substituted for a Computer Science Elective Group graduation requirement.
