FALL 2003 
 
Friday, June 6  Final date to apply for Transfer Credits for Fall 2003 term. A $25 non-refundable, late fee will apply after this date until September 5.
Wednesday, June 25  Classes commence for Continuing Education, Summer 2003 term.
Tuesday, July 1  Canada Day (University closed).
Friday, July 4 Final date to clear all outstanding financial records prior to the 2003-2004 academic year, otherwise no further registration will be permitted.
Friday, July 11  Final date to apply for Fall 2003 Convocation (no late fee). A non-refundable late fee will apply after this date until August 15.
Monday, August 4  Civic Holiday (University closed).
Friday, August 15  Final date to apply for Fall 2003 Convocation (with applicable late fees).
Monday, August 25 to Friday, August 29  Fall term registration and orientation activities. Continuing Education registration continues until Saturday, September 6.
Friday, August 29  Final date to cancel an Application to Graduate for Fall 2003 Convocation.
Monday, September 1  Labour Day (University closed).
Tuesday, September 2  Classes commence for full- and part-time programs. Note: for part-time programs, some courses will begin on Monday, September 8, see your Fall timetable for further information.
Friday, September 5  Final date for admission, re-admission or re-instatement to a full-time degree program or as a Special Student for the Fall 2003 term.
Friday, September 5  Final date for payment of fees for the academic year (Fall and Winter terms).
Friday, September 5  Final date to apply for Transfer Credits for Fall 2003 with the $25 non-refundable late fee. (Fall 2003 approvals exempt). No Fall term applications will be accepted after this date.
Monday, September 8  Classes commence for Continuing Education courses.
Monday, September 8 to Friday, September 19  Dates for submission of Day Access requests to the Continuing Education Division Office.
Friday, September 12  Final date to add courses, or change course sections for Fall 2003. 
Friday, September 12  Final date to withdraw from a program and be eligible for full refund of fees ($400 non-refundable for new approvals, full-time programs; $200 non-refundable for new approvals, part-time programs).
Friday, September 12  Final date to drop a course(s) and be eligible for full refund of fees (if a course drop results in a lower fee range). Please refer to Refund Schedule.
Friday, September 12 F inal date to petition for Aegrotat Standing for Spring/Summer 2003.
Friday, September 12  Final date to request missing Spring/Summer 2003 grades.
Friday, September 12  Final date to appeal Spring/Summer 2003 final grades or Academic Standing.
Saturday, September 13  A 50% drop charge applies if a course drop results in a lower fee range. Please refer to Refund Schedule.
Friday, September 19  Final date to clear all outstanding graduation requirements to be eligible for Fall 2003 Convocation (academic and financial).
Saturday, September 20  Homecoming festivities.
Wednesday, October 1  For any trimester, co-op or other programs with a December year end — Final date to apply for  OSAP.
Friday, October 3  Final date to drop a course(s) and be eligible for a 50% refund, if applicable. A 50% drop charge applies if a course drop results in a lower fee range. Please refer to Refund Schedule.
Friday, October 3  Final date to withdraw from a program and be eligible for a 50% refund of Fall 2003 fees.
Saturday, October 4  A 100% drop charge applies if a course drop results in a lower fee range — No fees refunded.
Week of October 6  Course Request changes for the Winter 2004 term
Friday, October 10  For any trimester, co-op or other programs with a December year end — Final date to submit an appeal for OSAP funds.
Friday, October 10  Final date to submit OSAP application to be eligible to receive funding for the current September to April academic year. Applications submitted after this date will be eligible to receive OSAP funding from the date the application is received.
Monday, October 13  Thanksgiving (University closed).
Wednesday, October 29  Fall 2003 Convocation.
Friday, October 31  Final date to submit an application for re-admission or re-instatement into a program for the Winter 2004 term (for guaranteed consideration).
Friday, October 31  A $100 charge will be levied for each Fall 2003 course or grade added to a student’s academic record after this date.
Friday, October 31  Final date to apply for Transfer Credits for Winter 2004. A $25 non-refundable late fee will apply after this date until February 20, 2004.
Friday, November 7  Final date to officially drop a one-term course(s) in good Academic Standing (no refund of fees). Non-attendance in one-term courses after this date, will result in a failing grade. Note: Prior to the eighth class for Continuing Education courses. 
Friday, November 7  Final date to withdraw from a program for the Fall 2003 term in good Academic Standing (no refund of Fall 2003 fees).
Monday, December 1  Classes end for full- and part-time programs. Note: for part-time program students, some classes may continue until Monday, December 15.
Tuesday, December 2 to Saturday, December 13  Fall term examination period, including Saturdays, December 6 and December 13.
Week of December 8  Classes end for Continuing Education, except for Monday classes which will end on Monday,December 15.
Friday, December 12  Deadline for clearing any outstanding debt, library book/fine, or other borrowed property in excess of $5 to ensure that Fall 2003 grades are not withheld.
Saturday, December 13  Official end of term.
Thursday, December 25 to Friday, January 2  Mid-Year (Christmas) Break, the University will close at the end of Wednesday, December 24 and re-open at 8 a.m. Monday, January 5.
