UNDERGRADUATE PROGRAM CALENDAR 2004-2005 | |||
GEOGRAPHIC ANALYSISAdministered by the Department of Geography
DEGREE: Four years of study following OAC graduation.
ADMISSION: O.S.S.D. with six Grade 12 U/M or OAC courses, including the following:
NEW CURRICULUM: Grade 12 U English with a minimum grade of 60 percent or higher.
OLD CURRICULUM: OAC English with a minimum grade of 60 percent or higher.
NOTES:
1- ENG4U/EAE4U or English/Anglais OAC 1 is the preferred English.
2- Students are encouraged to include one of: Grade 12 U Geometry and Discrete Mathematics (MGA4U), Advanced Functions and Introductory Calculus (MCB4U), or Mathematics of Data Management (MDM4U), and one of Grade 12 U Canadian and World Issues: A Geographical Analysis (CGW4U), or World Geography: Human Patterns & Interactions (CGU4U), or Grade 12 M Environment & Resource Mgt. (CGR4M) or Geomatics: Geotechnologies in Action (CGO4M) in their Grade 12 program.
3- Applicants will be requested to appear for an admissions preview where travelling distance permits.
4- Ryerson will allow the mixing of U, M and OAC courses as applicable but comparable courses will not be double-counted. As well, Ryerson will not accept the “out of school” component of Grade 12 U/M co-op courses for admission consideration.
5- Subject to competition, candidates may be required to present averages/grades above the minimum.
