| HSM 316 The Canadian Health System II | |
| This course examines key developments in the health system which promise substantial change in the provision of health services and the role of the health services manager. It reviews federal-provincial financial arrangements and the increasing provincial trend toward local control of health services delivery. Also addressed is the potential impact on access to services with the possible shift from an illness model characterized by professional control of an institutionally-based, curative technology, to a wellness model stressing client rights, community development and health promotion.
