EQUIVALENT STANDING GUIDELINES

Applicants educated outside Ontario must submit evidence of standing equivalent to the OSSD with six Grade 12 U/M courses. It is essential that the required subject prerequisites and grades for specific Ryerson programs form part of the academic background of applicants from outside Ontario, especially in the last two years of high school studies. The following list suggests guidelines for academic comparison. Applicants to an engineering program, Bachelor of Science, Biology, Chemistry, Contemporary Science, Undeclared, or Computer Science programs, should note that Grade 12 U Advanced Functions and Introductory Calculus (MCB4U) or OAC Calculus, or its equivalent, is required.

NOTE: For the Diploma in Arts program, the minimum admission requirement is the OSSD. Equivalency guidelines are available from the Office of Undergraduate Admissions.
