FULL-TIME UNDERGRADUATE CALENDAR 2005-2006
SUSPENDED STUDENTS SEEKING RE-INSTATEMENT
Students seeking re-instatement into the same program following their period of suspension should: - complete a Ryerson application form available from the Office of Undergraduate Admissions;
- accompany this form with a letter outlining reasonable evidence of the prospect of successful study, including any official transcripts for courses taken at other post-secondary institutions during the term of suspension. Please note: Students seeking re-instatement to an Engineering program are required to obtain and fulfill the conditions outlined in a Statement of Understanding. Engineering students who were suspended from the first year of an Engineering program and are seeking re-instatement, must obtain a Statement of Understanding from the First Year and Common Engineering Office, duly signed and dated by all parties, and include a copy with their application for re-instatement. Students who were suspended from a level other than first year of an Engineering program and are seeking re-instatement, must obtain the Statement of Understanding from their Assistant Chair and include a copy with their application for re-instatement. Requests for re-instatement will not be considered without the Statement of Understanding. Re-instatement is not guaranteed.
NOTE: Reinstatement is subject to space, competition, and academic consideration. Courses completed during a period of suspension will not be credited towards degree requirements unless previous written approval is given by their department, to a maximum of two credits. Application for re-instatement should be made as early as possible. The equal consideration date for the Fall term is February 20th and for the Winter term is November 4th. Applications received after these dates will be reviewed subject to space availability. Re-instatement, if granted, will be with PROBATIONARY standing, and its requirements for defined limited studies. (See section on “Academic Standings”.)
