FALL 2006

Friday, June 2 Final date for returning students to apply for Transfer Credits for Fall 2006 term. A $25 non-refundable late fee will apply after this date until September 1.
Week of June 19 Classes commence for The G. Raymond Chang School of Continuing Education, Spring/Summer 2006 term.
Monday July 3 Canada Day (University closed).
Tuesday, July 4 Final date to clear all fees and financial matters prior to the 2006-2007 academic year, otherwise no further enrollment will be permitted in Undergraduate courses.
Tuesday, July 18 First day of open enrollment for courses offered through The Chang School.
Friday, July 21 Final date to apply for graduation on RAMSS for the Fall 2006 Convocation (no late fee). A $40 non-refundable late fee will apply after this date until August 11.
Monday, August 7 Civic Holiday (University closed).
Friday, August 11 Final date to apply in person for the Fall 2006 Convocation (with $40 non-refundable late application fee).
Friday, August 25 Final date to cancel an Application to Graduate for the Fall 2006 Convocation.
Monday, August 28 to Friday, September 1 Fall term undergraduate (full- and part-time program students) enrollment and orientation activities.
Friday, September 1 Final date to request missing Spring/Summer 2006 undergraduate grades.
Friday, September 1 Final date to appeal Spring/Summer 2006 final undergraduate grades or Academic Standing.
Friday, September 1 Final date for returning students to apply for Transfer Credits for the Fall 2006 term with the $25 non-refundable late fee. No Fall 2006 applications will be accepted after this date.

Monday, September 4 Labour Day (University closed).
Tuesday, September 5 Classes commence for full- and part-time undergraduate programs. Note: for full- and part-time programs accessing courses through The Chang School, some courses will begin on Monday, September 11; see your Fall timetable for further information.
Friday, September 8 Final date for admission, re-admission or re-instatement to a full-time undergraduate degree program or as a Special Student for the Fall 2006 term.
Friday, September 8 Final date for payment of fees for the academic year (Fall and Winter terms) for undergraduate programs.
Saturday, September 9 Final date of open enrollment for courses offered through The Chang School.
Monday, September 11 Classes commence for The G. Raymond Chang School of Continuing Education courses for Fall 2006.
Friday, September 15

Final date to add undergraduate courses, or change course sections in Fall 2006 for:
- full- and part-time undergraduate students;
- part-time undergraduate students accessing courses through The Chang School
Full-time undergraduate students wishing to enroll in Chang School courses should consult The Chang School significant dates for appropriate deadlines.

Friday, September 15 Final date to withdraw from an undergraduate program and be eligible for the majority of fees to be refunded ($400 non-refundable charge for Fall admission, re-admission, or re-instatement approvals, full-time programs; $200 non-refundable charge for Fall admission, re-admission, or re-instatement approvals, part-time programs).

Final date to drop an undergraduate course for:
- full- and part-time undergraduate students;
- part-time undergraduate students accessing courses through The Chang School
and be eligible for full refund of fees (if a course drop results in a lower fee range). Refer to Refund Schedule in this calendar.
Full-time undergraduate students enrolled in Chang School courses should consult The Chang School significant dates for appropriate deadlines.

Friday, September 15 Final date to clear all outstanding academic and financial graduation requirements to be eligible for the Fall 2006 Convocation.
Week of October 2 Course Intention changes for the Winter 2007 term must be completed by October 6.
Friday, October 6 Final date to submit an appeal for OSAP funds for any trimester, co-op or other programs with a December year end.
Friday, October 6 Final date to submit OSAP application to be eligible to receive funding for the current September to April academic year. Applications submitted after this date will be eligible to receive OSAP funding from the date the application was received.

Final date to drop a Fall undergraduate course for:
- full- and part-time undergraduate students;
- part-time undergraduate students accessing courses through The Chang School
and be eligible for a 50% refund, if applicable. A 50% drop charge applies if a course drop results in a lower fee range. Refer to Refund Schedule in this calendar. No refund after this date.
Full-time undergraduate students enrolled in Chang School courses should consult The Chang School significant dates for appropriate deadlines.

Friday, October 6 Final date to withdraw from an undergraduate program and be eligible for a 50% refund of Fall 2006 fees.
Saturday, October 7 A 100% drop charge applies (no fees refunded) if a Fall course drop results in a lower fee range for:
- full- and part-time undergraduate students;
- part-time undergraduate students accessing courses through The Chang School.
Full-time undergraduate students enrolled in Chang School courses should consult The Chang School significant dates for appropriate deadlines.
Monday, October 9 Thanksgiving (University closed). Classes missed will be made up on an individual course basis.
Friday and Saturday, October 13 and 14 Homecoming Festivities
Week of October 30 Fall 2006 Convocation
Tuesday, October 31 Final date for all students to apply for Transfer Credits for the Winter 2007 term. A $25 non-refundable late fee will apply after this date until January 5, 2007.
Wednesday, November 1 First date to apply on RAMSS to graduate at the Spring 2007 Convocation.
Wednesday, November 1 First date for all students to apply for Transfer Credits for the Fall 2007/Winter 2008 academic year.
Friday, November 3 Final date to submit an application for re-admission or re-instatement into an undergraduate program for the Winter 2006 term (for guaranteed consideration).
Friday, November 3 A $100 charge will be levied for each Fall 2006 course or grade (or previous term's final grade) added to a student's academic record after this date for:
- full- and part-time undergraduate students;
- part-time undergraduate students accessing courses through The Chang School.
Full-time undergraduate students enrolled in Chang School courses should consult The Chang School significant dates for appropriate deadlines and charges.
Friday, November 10 Final date to officially drop a Fall undergraduate term course(s) in good Academic Standing (no refund of fees). Non-attendance in Fall courses after this date will result in a failing grade for:
- full- and part-time undergraduate students;
- part-time undergraduate students accessing courses through The Chang School
Full-time undergraduate students enrolled in Chang School courses should consult The Chang School significant dates for appropriate deadlines.
Friday, November 10 Final date to withdraw from an undergraduate program for the Fall 2005 term in good Academic Standing (no refund of Fall 2006 fees).
Monday, December 4 Classes end for full- and part-time undergraduate programs. Note: for part-time program students (or full-time program students) accessing courses through The Chang School, some continuing education classes may continue until Monday, December 18.
Tuesday, December 5 to Saturday, December 16 Fall term undergraduate examination period, including Saturdays, December 9 and December 16, and Sunday, December 10.
Week of December 11 (including Monday, December 18) Classes end for courses offered through The G. Raymond Chang School of Continuing Education.
Friday, December 15 Deadline for clearing any Fall 2006 and prior outstanding debt, library book/fine, or other borrowed property in excess of $10 to ensure that Fall 2006 grades are not withheld.
Saturday, December 16 Official end of term for undergraduate programs.
Friday, December 22 to Tuesday, January 2 Mid-Year (Christmas) Break, the University will close at 4:30 pm on Thursday, December 21. The University will re-open at 8 am on Wednesday, January 3.
