APPLICATION/SELECTION INFORMATION

Program Types

Please note that Ryerson reserves the right to change these without notice.

2. Application decisions are based on the information available at the time of application review. Applicants must have, or be in the process of meeting the admission requirements for the program(s) of their choice at the time of application.

3. Admission requirements vary from program to program. Applicants may be required to submit grades above the minimum in prerequisite subjects as well as maintain averages higher than the published minimum. In the selection process, Offers are made to the best qualified candidates for Ryerson programs. Applicants, including those given an early or conditional Offer of Admission, are required to successfully complete all admission requirements by June 30, 2007. This will likely exclude (depending on the program and circumstances) the possibility of summer school, night school, and/or correspondence courses completed after this date. Summer school extensions are generally not granted for many programs.

Applicants who wish Ryerson to consider extensions beyong June 30, must make an e-mail request tot he Ryerson Director of Undergraduae Admissions at xtension@ryerson.ca and receive written permission to be considered or have conditional offers of admission extended.  No other form of communication will be considered or acknowledged, including fax, telephone, verbal in-person, written correspondence and/or multiple e-mail requests.  Requests willnot be reviewed or responded to until after May 15. Applicants must include their name, student ID/reference number, name of program(s), and all complete details including circumstances, courses, course codes, school attending, start date, completion date, submission date of final officially certified academic transcript(s) including proof of graduation, etc.

Grades completed in summer school will not be used in Scholarship calculations.

Extensions will not be done verbally under any circumstances, including discussions with any Ryerson officials, staff and/or faculty. Students who are granted extensions beyond June 30 are still required to submit all final, officially certified academic transcripts, including graduation status for studies completed, by and after June 30. All other Offer of Admission policies and procedures still apply, including the relevant dates for fees payments and any other submission dates.

4. Admission requirements and procedures vary with individual programs. Detailed information is sent to all Guidance Offices in Ontario secondary schools in October of each year for the following September. Students may also contact the Office of Undergraduate Admissions at Ryerson for this information or visit www.ryerson.ca/ualca.
