TRANSFER CREDIT APPLICATION DEADLINES APPLICABLE TO THE FALL 2006/WINTER 2007 ACADEMIC YEAR ONLY

Transfer credits are considered for external courses only; Ryerson students do not have to apply for transfer credits for courses taken at Ryerson.

In most cases, students will receive responses to their transfer credit application prior to the open enrollment process in mid-August.  Students can check for the status of their transfer credit application at my.ryerson.ca (RAMSS), under 'View Transfer Credit Report'.  Refer to www.ryerson.ca/academicadvising for more information.

Newly-Approved Students

Newly-approved program students must apply for all transfer credit(s) applicable to the first year of their program within the time specified in their Offer of Admission (with a final deadline of Friday, September 1, 2006).  Transfer credits will not be processed until final and official certified academic transcripts and teaching outlines are submitted to the Transfer Credit processing unit.

If, at the time of admission to Ryerson, students are in the process of completing post-secondary studies and plan to apply for transfer credit, they must do so as soon as an officially certified academic transcript of their grades is available.

Newly-approved program students have until May 31, 2007 to apply for any other transfer credits applicable to the rest of their program's curriculum.

Returning Program Students

For the 2006-2007 academic year only, returning program students are required to apply for transfer credits applicable to the Fall 2006/Winter 2007 academic year following the deadlines outlined below:

Friday, June 2, 2006 - final date to apply for Transfer Credits for the Fall 2006 term. A $25 non-refundable late fee (subject to change) will apply after this date until September 1, 2006.

Friday, September 1, 2006 - final date to apply for Transfer Credits for the Fall 2006 term with the $25 non-refundable late fee (subject to change). No Fall 2006 transfer credit applications will be accepted after this date.

Tuesday, October 31, 2006 - final date to apply for Transfer Credits for the Winter 2007 term. A $25 non-refundable late fee (subject to change) will apply after this date until January 5, 2007.

Friday, January 5, 2007 -  final date to apply for Transfer Credits for the Winter 2007 term with the $25 non-refundable late fee (subject to change). No Winter 2007 transfer credit applications will be accepted after this date.

All students wishing to submit transfer credit applications after Friday, January 5, 2007 must follow the dates published in the following section:  'TRANSFER CREDIT APPLICATION DEADLINES EFFECTIVE FOR TRANSFER CREDITS APPLICABLE TO THE FALL 2007/WINTER 2008 ACADEMIC YEAR'.
