The Department of Economics offers courses to every program at Ryerson. In many cases these offerings are liberal studies electives. In some programs, for example Geographic Analysis, Business Management, Information Technology Management, Public Administration & Governance and Urban and Regional Planning, Economics courses are considered a part of the professional education of the student and students can choose to do a minor in Economics. The Department offers a Bachelor of Arts degree in International Economics and Finance as well as a joint major in Economics and Management Science in the School of Business Management.
