Physiology
PLN 103 Physiology I
Physiology I is the first of two physiology courses designed to introduce systems and processes of the body including: digestive, integumentary, skeletal, muscular, nervous, and endocrine. This course will also develop an appreciation for the adaptive and homeostatic mechanisms of the body as well as the dynamic interrelations between the systems. The course will enhance the student's capacity for critical thinking related to both theoretical and applied aspects of physiology.

PLN 203 Physiology II
Building on the introductory course, Physiology II will focus on the nervous, sensory, musculoskeletal, circulatory and respiratory systems and will enhance the student's capacity for critical thinking related to both theoretical and applied aspects of physiology.

Prerequisite: PLN 103

PLN 303 Exercise Science and Physiology
The course will discuss the various mechanisms and principles of the body's acute responses to different levels of physical activity. The course will focus on the essentials of movement and the functionality of the musculoskeletal system, on the impact of exercise on basic energy systems, and on the cardiorespiratory function and performance.
