In choosing to pursue a post-secondary education, students accept the University’s right to collect and evaluate records of their academic performance and other pertinent personal information. At the same time, the student’s right to privacy requires that such information be used and stored in a manner consistent with the confidential nature of the information involved. In recognition of a student’s right to privacy, all information obtained about students is kept strictly confidential except for the following which will be confirmed in response to individual requests: the surname and initials of all students; the program and level or course of enrollment of all students; the surname and initials of all graduates, the names of the certificates, diplomas, or degrees obtained and in what program, as well as the date of graduation; the names of recipients of awards and scholarships; IF AUTHORIZED IN WRITING BY THE STUDENT, address and/or telephone number.
