THE G. RAYMOND CHANG SCHOOL OF CONTINUING EDUCATION

The G. Raymond Chang School of Continuing Education is Canada’s leading provider of university-based adult education. We extend learning opportunities to people who wish to continue their education, upgrade their professional skills, or start a new career on a part-time basis. Programming strengths of The Chang School are reflected in our 74 certificate programs and more than 1,200 courses, seminars, and workshops offered yearly in Arts, Business, Communication & Design, Community Services, Engineering, Architecture and Science, Information Technology Studies, and Seniors' Education programs. The Chang School's instructors come from the University’s schools and departments, as well as from Toronto’s business, cultural, and academic communities. They bring professional experience and teaching expertise to the classroom.

Many of the courses offered through The Chang School are degree credit and may be used for transfer credit/advanced standing, if admission is secured, to many of our part- and full-time degree programs. For specific certificate admission requirements, please refer to The G. Raymond Chang School of Continuing Education annual calendar or the website.

The Chang School is committed to developing new delivery modes to increase the accessibility of our programs. We continue to respond to community needs by offering degree-level courses for nurses at regional access centres across Toronto and southern Ontario. The number of courses we offer during the Spring term continues to increase and, in response to student demand, we have increased the number of week-long intensive courses and weekend programming.

The Chang School has also been highly successful in developing corporate-university partnerships to enable the delivery of customized, degree-level education either within the workplace or on campus. Our Learning and Development team meets with external organizations to identify learning needs and develop creative, relevant educational opportunities.

Continuing education students are important to the University and have access to the Ryerson Library, laboratories, and support services, including career planning and study skills workshops, career services workshops, the in-house services offered by the Career Centre, and tutor support.
