Equipment Maintenance
Campus Planning and Facilities, Maintenance & Operations (CPF Ops) - Maintains and operates the base building mechanical and electrical systems, otherwise referred to as building infrastructure.
For example, for FEAS labs CPF Ops maintains the HVAC, exhaust, plumbing, lighting, power and fire protection systems serving the lab but the equipment within the lab must be maintained by the Department.
Examples of equipment to be maintained by the Department include (but are not limited to):
- fume hoods,
- exhaust hoods,
- fume detection systems,
- dust collectors,
- drains,
- eye wash stations,
- air ducts,
- electrical wiring,
- sprinklers,
- ecology units,
- sediment tanks,
- acid interceptors/neutralizers,
- refrigerators/freezers,
- incubators,
- aquariums,
- appliances, and
- other laboratory equipment.
