Career Mentoring

Mentoring is an excellent way to both learn and develop as well as give back, share your experience, and guide students on their career journey.  Members of staff from within the University are also encouraged to apply. The Ryerson Tri-Mentoring Career Mentoring Program will help facilitate your connection with a current Ryerson student.

A Career Mentor is:

  • a guide and adviser to a third/fourth or final year student (Career Mentee), providing insight into a particular industry sector or type of profession

  • provides constructive criticism and encouragement to their mentee as they progress towards their goals

  • culturally sensitive and possesses strong interpersonal skills

Organized by either degrees of study/industry sectors or by equity-seeking group identities, each event brings together up to five guests including our panel moderator.  Held in the late afternoon, the panel discussion is followed by a freestyle networking hour.
