Fenella brings to the Ryerson Career Centre an extensive background in education working at schools in Toronto, New York, London, Seoul and Melbourne. As a teacher and leader she has coached colleagues and conducted professional development workshops. As a counsellor she has advised students as they plan their academic and professional careers. Throughout her career Fenella has been driven by a passion for helping people reach their full potential.

As the Career Education Specialist for the Faculty of Engineering & Architectural Science, Fenella designs, develops, and delivers a Faculty-wide Career Development Program, including career-related resource materials to support your professional development.

At the Inclusivity in STEM conference, you'll get to network with industry professionals and have crucial open conversations that lead to a more equitable, diverse and inclusive STEM culture.

Over dinner, you’ll be led through scenarios by women and men who’ve had first-hand experience knocking down inclusivity barriers. You’ll hear stories of success from our inspiring speakers and discover the practical tools you need to overcome the challenges faced by you or your classmates, and how to turn your peers into allies.

Chi-Chi joined Ryerson Career Centre in October 2015. Previously, she was Recruitment and Training Lead at All Languages Ltd, where she specialized in hiring freelance translators. She approaches the career centre with a global mindset, having spent four years managing relationships with international candidates and clients. Chi-Chi has strong experience in working with people from diverse backgrounds and she is interested in the impact of language and culture on career development.

Chi-Chi has developed and implemented HR programs in the areas of recruitment, training and employee engagement.  She is also passionate about the growing freelance economy and presented her ideas on alternative work options at Canada’s very first DisruptHR conference.

Ignite Innovation with Infrastructure Ontario

Networking and learning from industry leaders, as well as staying informed on trends are vital to building a successful career in engineering.

The purpose of this Ignite Innovation Talk is to share insights on innovation within civil infrastructure, roads or transit, and to demonstrate how Infrastructure Ontario is at the forefront of this innovation. By the end of the talk, students will be encouraged to participate in innovation, enhance their skills and continue to build career connections.
