Centre for the Advancement of the Scholarship of Teaching & Learning
The Faculty of Community Services Learning and Teaching Committee
The Faculty of Community Services (FCS) Learning and Teaching Committee was established in 1999. Dr. Judith Sandys, then Dean of the Faculty of Community Services, initiated the formation of a FCS committee with the goal of enhancing a focus on the scholarship of teaching. The committee has continued to thrive with the support of the Dean.
The Faculty of Community Services recognises and honours outstanding teachers in the Faculty with the annual Sue Williams Excellence in Teaching Award. Nominations, describing the qualities and characteristics of their favourite teacher, are submitted by students.
