Applicants

Applicants are individuals who applied to study full time at Ryerson and received written confirmation from the school acknowledging their application.
 
Obtaining access to my.ryerson

1. Go to http://www.ryerson.ca/accounts to activate your applicant account
2. Begin the process by entering your personal information.
   • Your Student/Applicant ID can be found in the written confirmation sent to you from Ryerson University.
   • Create a password and setup password Challenge Phrases
3. Once you have completed the form, please wait 1-2 hours (may require up to 24 hours) for your Applicant Online Identity to be created.

Applicant Resources

1. Go to https://my.ryerson.ca to login to the my.ryerson Web Portal
   • Username is your Student/Applicant ID
   • Password is the password you created during account activation

Inside my.ryerson, you may access the following services under the RAMSS tab:

Register for the Ryerson Test of English Proficiency (RTEP)

1. Apply for transfer credits
   • Update personal information on the Ontario Universities’ Application Centre (OUAC)
   • Enroll in a Continuing Education Courses

Student Account

If you have accepted an offer from Ryerson University for a specific program and will be studying at Ryerson, or if you have enrolled in a Continuing Education course at Ryerson, you are a Student of Ryerson University.

Obtaining Student Access

• Generally, Applicants are formally admitted to Ryerson University and will officially become a Student of Ryerson beginning mid-August; Continuing Education students receive their Student roles approximately 24-hours after registering for their course(s).

• If you already have an Applicant Online Identity
  • Login to the my.ryerson web portal at https://my.ryerson.ca
  • You will be prompted to select a Student user name which will be used as your Student my.ryerson user name. Your password remains the same.
  • From this point forward, you will access Ryerson’s computing resources using the Student my.ryerson user name you have chosen - the Applicant ID should no longer be used for computing resources.
    
    
• If you do not have an Applicant Online Identity
  • Go to http://www.ryerson.ca/accounts to activate your Student Online Identity
  • Your Student ID can be found in the written offer from Ryerson.
  • You will choose a Student my.ryerson user name and password which will be used as your Online Identity to access Ryerson’s computing resources; you will also set up password Challenge Phrases for your account.
  • Please wait 1-2 hours (may require up to 24-hours) for your Student Online Identity to be created.

Student Resources

• With your my.ryerson account you will have
  • Access to Ryerson email (RMail) at https://mail.ryerson.ca
  • Access to Computing and Communications Services (CCS) computer labs
  • Full access to my.ryerson and RAMSS, including
    • Select courses
    • View class schedules
    • View academic information, and
    • View your student financial information
