Online Resources for Faculty and Staff
Once you have activated your Ryerson online identity you can access the following resources :
| Resource | Description |

| Google Apps | Google Apps at Ryerson is a package of web applications that includes Gmail, Calendar, Drive and Docs, Contacts, and Mobile. |
| RMail account | Faculty members who chose to use RMail instead of Gmail can access it through a web browser using Web Mail or through a web-based email client such as Mozilla Thunderbird. |
| Computer Labs | You can log in to computers in the central computing labs found in the Library and KHW71. |
| my.ryerson Portal | Formerly referred to as Blackboard, the my.ryerson portal provides access to my.ryerson online courses, organizations, the Self Serve module and RAMSS. Access the my.ryerson portal at https://my.ryerson.ca |
| RAMSS | Use Ryerson's Administrative Management Self Serve system (RAMSS) to access class rosters and to submit final grades. You can access RAMSS through the my.ryerson portal. |
| Website Accounts | Faculty, staff and departments have access to website space hosted at www.ryerson.ca. You can request your website through the Self Serve Module within the my.ryerson portal. |
| Malthus | malthus.acs.ryerson.ca, is a UNIX server dedicated to providing statistics applications and research data sets. |
| Turing | turing.acs.ryerson.ca is a UNIX server that hosts a number of programming languages and the DB2 and Oracle relational database management systems. |
| Snapper | snapper.dcn.ryerson.ca is a UNIX server that provides web application development services including the ability to write CGI programs in Perl and other languages. Snapper is also designed to run computer-intensive engineering and GIS applications. |
You need to request access specifically for the following resources:

| RU-VPN |
RU-VPN is security software that allows you to access administrative systems like OGF and CFAPS from off campus. RU-VPN uses a digital “certificate” that is installed on your computer and is accessed using an RU-VPN login ID and password. |

| CFAPS |
CFAPS (Central File and Print Services) is a network-based file backup, file sharing, and printing service you can use to back up your files and access shared departmental network folders. |

| OGF |
OGF (Oracle Government Financials) is used at Ryerson for Financial Management including online purchasing. Your OGF user ID and password are supplied by Financial Services. |
