CCS Scheduled Maintenance and Outages

Preventative Maintenance includes a variety of activities necessary to keep information and technology services running, such as software patches, fixes and upgrades, hardware upgrade. Additional outages may occur as a result of unforeseen hardware or software issues. In these cases, CCS strives to provide as much notice as possible.

No alternate service will be available if a system or an application is not available due to the scheduled maintenance or outage, unless explicitly indicated in the table bellow for the particular system/application.

RMS 6.0.5 release which includes the following features: various D2L bug fixes, enable web services for Communications Fees, update configurations for provisioning RUAD and CFCentral accounts, and update Copyright web services. Access to Account Activation, Self Service and RMS Admin will be intermittent during this time frame.

Additional Scheduled Changes

  • Weekdays starting on Monday, August 31, 2015 from 6 a.m. until 8 a.m. - in progress
    Network switches and switch stacks will be upgraded on a continual basis throughout the Ryerson Campus.  Areas affected will be notified of outages in advance of commencement of work.
  • Tuesday, August 16, 2016 until completed - in progress
    Activate a Windows 2012R2 server as a Print Server for ADMIN to replace the current Windows 2003 Print Server and migrate queues/printers to the new server.
  • Saturday, January 14, 2017 to Saturday, January 28, 2017 - in progress
    Upgrade Deep Freeze Client on all academic lab computers managed by CCS. Work will be done after hours when the labs are closed.
  • Wednesday, January 18, 2017 from 3 p.m. to 3:30 p.m.
    Power off one of CE web servers and decommission it on January 27, 2017.
  • Friday, January 20, 2017 from 6 a.m. to 6:15 a.m.
    Move RMS-AD-Sync service account.
  • Friday, January 20, 2017 from 6 a.m. to 7:30 a.m.
    Replace V2W and V2E Network Switch Stacks. Wired connections will be re-patched into new switch stacks. This change will impact entire 2nd floor of RCC. Wired connections and Wireless Access Points will be impacted as connections are moved.
  • Friday, January 20, 2017 from 6 a.m. to 8 a.m.
    Migrate routing for the ACAD subnets (VRF2). 
  • Monday January 23, 2017 from 9:30 a.m. to 10:30 a.m.
    IT Security will be conducting a run time security incident with our Arbor DDoS/Security appliance vendor.  There should be no impact to normal network operation.

    Add a link for Faculty of Science Referendum Voting System to the “Participate” module at my.ryerson.
