Scheduled Maintenance and Outages
Preventative Maintenance includes a variety of activities necessary to keep information and technology services running, such as software patches, fixes and upgrades, hardware upgrade. Additional outages may occur as a result of unforeseen hardware or software issues. In these cases, CCS strives to provide as much notice as possible.
No alternate service will be available if a system or an application is not available due to the scheduled maintenance or outage, unless explicitly indicated in the table bellow for the particular system/application.

Upgrade network switches in TRS. Some network connections and phones will not be available in TRS during this time frame. - Thursday, October 3, 2013 between 10:30 am and 10:45am
Change blacklist resolution on the production rscans to point to the new fooscan environment (dnsbl domains). A reload of the postfix configuration will be required. This should have no impact on incoming mail, but it is possible that some messages will be very briefly delayed. - Friday, October 4, 2013 between 6 am and 8 am
Firewall upgrade protecting the campus networks. Traffic will be re-routed during the change but users may notice two one-minute interruptions during this time frame. - Friday, October 4, 2013 between 6 am and 8:30 am
Upgrade bb90pra5.ryerson.ca and bb90prc.ryerson.ca hardware from M610 to M620. bb90pra5.ryerson.ca will be removed from the load balancer and will not be accessible during this time frame.

Upgrade wireless all over the campus, except TRS. Wireless will be unavailable all over the campus, except TRS.
