CCS Scheduled Maintenance and Outages

Preventative Maintenance includes a variety of activities necessary to keep information and technology services running, such as software patches, fixes and upgrades, hardware upgrade. Additional outages may occur as a result of unforeseen hardware or software issues. In these cases, CCS strives to provide as much notice as possible.

No alternate service will be available if a system or an application is not available due to the scheduled maintenance or outage, unless explicitly indicated in the table bellow for the particular system/application.

    Migrating EMS DB from SQL server express to SQL 2014. (RFC-243)

    : Event Management system will be down during this time.

    Applying hotfix to student calendar integration to allow creation of tutorials for online courses. (RFC-241)
    User Impact

  • Saturday, September 16, 8:00 AM to 1:00 PM
    Performing CQ production database maintenance. (RFC-234)
    User Impact
    : None expected. There are two servers so www.ryerson.ca won’t be affected.

    Upgrading Oracle from 11g to 12c on production servers. (RFC-197)
    User Impact
    : my.ryerson.ca, CAS and RMS related applications will not be available during this time.

    Migrating (database servers) to new hardware and Oracle Upgrade. (RFC-201)
