All available security software is free to the Ryerson community. You will be required to enter your my.ryerson username and password to access the software.

| Sophos for Windows | Sophos is an antivirus program that will protect your personal computer against computer viruses. Sophos 10.2 supports Windows 8 Pro, as well as all previous versions of Windows. If you already have Sophos 10, the update will be done automatically and you do not need to install version 10.2. NOTE: Installing Sophos will automatically remove the existing McAfee Virus Scan 8.5 or higher on your computer. Otherwise, you will need to uninstall McAfee manually. |

| RU-VPN for Windows | RU-VPN is the Virtual Private Network (VPN) currently supported by CCS. RU-VPN creates a secure "tunnel" enabling authorized users to access Ryerson administrative systems from off-campus. Request an RU-VPN ID by completing the online form, then download and install the software.
NOTE: When your SAM id expires please request an RU-VPN ID from the CCS Help desk. |

NOTE: There is vulnerability with version 3.2.8 of Tunnelblick for the Mac. CCS recommends checking the version of Tunnelblick that you are using. If it is version 3.2.8 for RU-VPN then this needs to be updated. To get detailed instructions on how to check the version of Tunnelblick click here. |

| SAM (Secured Access Method) | SAM creates a secure "tunnel" enabling authorized users to access Ryerson administrative systems from off-campus. (SAM is not compatible with 64bit OS.)
NOTE: SAM will be supported until Feb 28, 2011, but no new SAM IDs will be created. For a new secure access method please see RU-VPN. |
