Emilie-Andrée Jabouin and Alison Hedley, two of the CDH’s student research fellows, are proud new members of the HASTAC Scholars cohort of 2016-2018. Emilie, Alison, and their HASTAC mentor, CDH co-director Lorraine Janzen Kooistra, will be Ryerson’s first participants in this fellowship program. HASTAC Scholars fosters community among students who work at the intersection of technology and the arts, humanities, and sciences.
As HASTAC scholars, Emilie and Alison will participate in conversations and facilitate events that explore approaches to learning, teaching, and academic culture in the digital age. Emilie and Alison hope to host a workshop on intersectional feminisms, social justice, and the Internet in Winter 2017, and a HASTAC Scholars Meet-up at the Ryerson-hosted Congress of the Social Sciences and Humanities in May 2017. Keep an eye out for details about those events in the coming months.
