Collaborative Approach to Workplace Accommodation - Employer and Union Responsibility Symposium
This symposium will present and discuss how all stakeholders can work collaboratively to develop and manage workplace accommodations and return to work plans to achieve strong results.
Attendees will hear from such experts as:
- Keynote Speaker, Elizabeth Witmer, Chair, Workplace Safety and Insurance Board;
- Dinner Speaker, Barbara Hall, Chief Commissioner, Ontario Human Rights Commission; and
- Closing Speaker, Dr. Cameron Mustard, President, Institute for Work & Health.
Attendees will learn about:
- The legislative framework that drives the “due diligence” obligation for accommodating employees in the workplace as it relates to Physical and Mental Disabilities;
- Best practice techniques and tools for developing workplace accommodations and return to work plans;
- Lessons learned from case studies that will be presented and discussed by a panel of experts.
