In 2011 Ryerson Co-operative Education will marked 20 years of service to students, employers and the University. The Co-op Office provides service & support to Ryerson departments, schools, and programs that offer co-op as defined by the Canadian Association for Co-operative Education (CAFCE).

Ryerson Co-operative Education is a member of the Canadian Association for Co-operative Education (CAFCE) and Education at Work Ontario (EWO).

The Co-op Office is staffed by five full time employees who cumulatively have almost 50 years of experience serving Ryerson co-op students.

The role of the Ryerson Co-op Office is to support and assist co-op students to find paid, productive, workplace learning opportunities in fields relevant to the students' academic and personal goals.

Faculty Advisors are the link from the academic departments to the Co-op Office. These advisors help to recruit potential co-op students and employers, assist co-op office staff in resolving student issues, and handle academic matters related to student work terms (reviewing & grading work term reports, etc.). The Co-op Office appreciates the time and effort made by these faculty members to help administer the co-op programs.
