At both the International Living Learning Centre and Pitman Hall Residences, our front desks are staffed by guest service agents 24 hours a day from May to August. The guest service agents can answer any questions you have about the building, the area or your stay.
There are several key services that the guest service agents provide:
Airport transport service
If you need transportation to the Toronto Pearson Airport, the guest service agents can arrange it for you.
Check-in/Check-out
Whether you are coming or going from Conference Services and Lodging, the guest service agents will take you through the check-in and check-out processes quickly and efficiently. They will ensure that your stay is to your satisfaction and answer any questions that you may have.
The ILLC Residence check-in time at is 4:00 pm; check-out is prior to 1:00 pm.
Pitman Hall Residence check-in time at is 4:00 pm; check-out is prior to 11:00 am.
Guests arriving before 4:00 pm will be accommodated as soon as rooms become available, otherwise we can store the luggage in our storage area until rooms are ready at 4:00 pm.
Laundry cards
If you need to do laundry during your stay, you may purchase a laundry card from the guest service agents to access the washer and dryer on your floor. For more information about laundry, see Floor Laundry Rooms.
Parking passes
If you require parking at the underground garage of the International Living Learning Centre, our guest service agents will provide you with either a day pass or parking card, depending on the length of time your car will be parked with us. For more information about parking, see Underground Parking.
Reservations
Whether you are making a reservation to stay at Conference Services and Lodging over the telephone or changing the length of your stay while you are at our establishment, the guest service agents will walk you through the process.
Wake-up call
Need to wake up early but don’t think the alarm clock will be enough? Our guest service agents will be happy to give you a wakeup call at whatever time you wish.

Campus Security
At the International Living Learning Centre, the front desk is staffed 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. Ryerson Security is also on call 24 hours a day and offers a Walk-Safe Program. More information on Security at Ryerson can be found at the following link: Ryerson Security and Emergency Services
Banquet Facilities
Banquet facilities are available to rent in both the International Living Learning Centre and Pitman Hall. For more information, see our Meeting Rooms page.
Floor Kitchenettes
Each floor in both the International Living Learning Centre and Pitman Hall have fully-equipped kitchenettes that come with a full-size fridge, oven, microwave, and seating area with a table and chairs. The kitchenettes are ideal for travelers who want to cook their own meals or for a late night snack. With a grocery store right across the street and a cafeteria downstairs, food and ingredients are readily available. Please note that cutlery, dishes and cookware are not provided.
Floor Laundry Rooms
All floors in both the International Living Learning Centre Residence and Pitman Hall Residence are equipped with state of the art washers and dryers, accessed by laundry cards. Cards are $5 to purchase from the front desk, with $2 for the wash, $1.50 for the dryer, $0.50 for extra drying time and $1 administration fee. There will be no refunds for any amount leftover on the card.
If more funds are needed, the Cash Copying Cards can be loaded with funds by using deposit machines on campus.
Floor TV Lounge
All floors in both the International Living Learning Centre Residence and Pitman Hall Residence are equipped with a TV lounge that features cable TV and seating area with couches and chairs. The TV Lounge is a perfect spot for guests to relax and meet other people on the floor, or spend time with other members of their group.
Guest Internet Service
Each guest room in both the International Living Learning Centre and Pitman Hall is equipped with high speed internet. Ethernet cables will be provided to guests upon request. There will be a charge for cables that are not returned. Guests must provide their own internet compatible computers. If a guest needs to look up something on the internet, we have a computer for guests to use in the lobby of the International Living Learning Centre Residence as well as in the lobby of the Pitman Hall Residence.
Meeting Rooms

Non-Smoking Building
No smoking is permitted in Pitman Hall Residence or ILLC Residence or within nine (9) feet of the entrances. Please see our Smoke-Free Policy for more information on restrictions and cleaning policy charges.
Smoke Detectors
Each floor and room is equipped with smoke detectors to ensure your safety.
Underground Parking
International Living Learning Centre Residence (ILLC)
Space permitting, parking passes may be purchased upon arrival at the Front Desk. A 24-hour in/out access card will be issued upon check-in and must be returned upon check out. A $30.00 parking deposit is required. Failure of an individual to return the parking access card will result in a loss of the deposit. The 2012 daily rate is $11.50 plus 13% HST.
Pitman Hall Residence
Managed by CarPark services as per current parking rates.
Wheelchair Access
Both the International Living Learning Centre and Pitman Hall offer wheelchair accessible rooms.
ILLC and Pitman Hall are equipped with electric doors at both main entrances. The entrance to Pitman Hall and the front entrance to the International Living Learning Centre (240 Jarvis Street) are on ground level with smooth terrain leading into the buildings. The back entrance of the International Living Learning Centre (133 Mutual Street) has a ramp leading up to the door.

Photocopying
A group account for photocopies can be made available, whereby one account will be set up for all attendees. All photocopying charges will be billed at the end of your conference.
For individual use, Cash Copying Cards can be purchased by group members ($5.00 each – including $4.00 for copying use already loaded on the card) at JOR-04 in Jorgensen Hall and can be used at most copy machines on campus.
If more funds are needed, the Cash Copying Cards can be loaded with funds by using deposit machines on campus.
OneCard
For temporary needs such as photocopying for visiting patrons or if you've left your card at home, a non-ID card can be obtained from any Add Cash machine on campus, or by visiting the OneCard office during business hours.
Once obtained you can continue to add funds to the card. Keep in mind that non-ID cards are not personalized and can be used by anyone, so be sure to make a note of the account number on the receipt when you get the card. Visit OneCard for more information.
