During my third year as a student at Toronto Metropolitan University (Now Toronto Metropolitan University), I had the privilege of working with the Law and Business Clinic to provide pro bono legal services to small business owners and entrepreneurs. The opportunity to apply theoretical class material to the real-life needs of small business owners is an invaluable learning experience that I hope all TRSM students will gain access to in the future. Because of my experience at the Law and Business Clinic, I am well aware of the need for pro-bono legal services and especially fervent about remaining involved in my community in that capacity. Additionally, through working with clients from the DMZ, I discovered the interest and passion I have for innovation and entrepreneurship.

Currently, I am pursuing a joint JD/MBA degree at Osgoode Hall Law School and Schulich School of Business. I am extremely grateful to have had such early exposure to the practice of law – something many of my colleagues d id not prior to entering law school. My experience at the Law and Business clinic truly solidified that this was the right career path for me. I strongly encourage other students interested in law to take advantage of this opportunity as well.
