Safe House Goals
To create conditions that will help at-risk Ryerson students proceed with their education while undergoing a difficult period of transition, through the provision of safety, education and advocacy. To advocate on behalf of such students.
To respect the privacy of students using the service while taking appropriate steps to facilitate their safety and security.
To provide a service which is respectful, welcoming and non-discriminatory on the basis of gender, race, age, sexual orientation, culture, class, disability, religion, ethnicity, marital (partnered) status and family status.
To promote quality care through the provision of appropriate adjunct services.
To create a greater awareness of and sensitivity to the needs of students at risk.
To create awareness about the services available within the Ryerson community.
