Submitting a Turnitin Assignment in Blackboard

Introduction

(From the Turnitin.com website) Turnitin Originality Checking allows educators to check students' work for improper citation or potential plagiarism by comparing it against continuously updated databases. Every Originality Report provides instructors with the opportunity to teach their students proper citation methods as well as to safeguard their students' academic integrity.

Ryerson has implemented the Turnitin Building Block in Blackboard Learn, so Turnitin assignments can be created from within a Blackboard course shell.

There is no need for instructors to request a Turnitin Class ID or student passwords in order to submit the assignments. The submission process is similar to Blackboard assignment submission.

For instructions on how to submit a Turnitin Assignment, please see the Turnitin Blackboard 9 Integration Student Manual.

  • Please send any Turnitin-related comments, questions or feedback to Turnitin's helpdesk.
