End of Term Tasks

My.ryerson online course materials are retained on the my.ryerson system for 8 terms (approximately two years, from the start of the current term). Any content delivered prior to this time cannot be made available for access, or delivery in a future course.

After the last appeals deadline for a term has passed, all online courses for that term will be made ‘unavailable’ to all course users. Instructors may request extended access to their online courses due to pending appeals, or student course extensions. Access required for the development of future courses may only be done by requesting a new course shell for the future term, as a copy of the prior course shell.

Tracking Reports, which include logs for student access of the course, are retained for 180 days. This easily covers the length of the term, and provides the instructor with the records needed to assess the course at the end of a term. Instructors with courses that span more than one term, or have been given an extension must be sure to download their course statistics at the end of each term. The tracking reports can be found in the course Control Panel > Evaluation > Tracking Reports.

These are guidelines for elements that we feel you may want to backup - if you wish to backup other areas of your course, please do so.

*Please see the End of Term items in the sidebar on the left. They include what to do with your Course Materials, how to backup Student information and how to save Discussion Board postings.
