Groups

Instructors can create Groups in a course to allow students to collaborate with each other. These groups usually consist of a smaller group of students in a class, such as study groups or project groups.

Please see the menu on the left for more Group Pages options.

From a group page, users may:

All of the functions available from Group pages, with the exception of the File Exchange, act in the same way in the course site. Additional features of the Collaboration Tools are also available when accessed through Groups.

Your instructor will determine which features are available to your group.

You may find the Groups (or 'Group Pages') tool in one of the following areas:

  • as a direct link in the Course Menu (the left-hand sidebar of your course site)
  • as a tool option link within the Course Menu called 'Tools'

The location of the link to the tool is also determined by your instructor.
