Open to third-year undergraduate students enrolled in Civil Engineering; must have a record of academic excellence, as demonstrated by a CGPA of 3.00 at the end of second year; demonstrated academic excellence in courses related to structural and materials engineering; demonstrated interest in the field of heavy construction; must be a Canadian citizen, permanent resident or protected person; must be an Ontario resident; and demonstrate financial need.

Paul Krejcir Memorial Award
Up to $1000

This award was created by Anchor Shoring & Caissons Ltd. to honour the memory of Paul Krejcir, a Partner at Anchor Shoring & Caissons Ltd. and alumni of Ryerson. It will be awarded to a full-time student enrolled in the Department of Civil Engineering who achieves excellence in structural and geotechnical courses and shows an interest in the shoring and foundation aspects of heavy construction. Students shall also demonstrate leadership through involvement in extra-curricular activities relating to the university or professional development. This award is open to students in the second, third and fourth year, and who demonstrate financial need.

Ledcor Construction Ltd. Award

To recognize the combination of extra-curricular contributions in the field of study related to Architecture/Building/Construction and the academic achievements of a student enrolled full-time at the time of award seclection in the the third or fourth year program of study in the Department of Architectural Science or Department of Civil Engineering; student must be taking at least 80% course load and have successfully completed all courses from previous years; clear academic standing; minimum CGPA of 3.00; demonstrate evidence of leadership; commitment to the Architecture/Building/Construction profession; demonstrate interest in a career in the Architecture/Building/Construction industry; demonstrate professional attitude concerning school and extra-curricular activities; demonstration of exceptional organizational skills and determination; and, concern for issues involving sustainability in construction.

Ontario Professional Engineers Foundation for Education Award
Up to $1250
Open to second, third or fourth-year students who are enrolled in a full-time engineering program; demonstrate high academic achievement (minimum CGPA of 3.00); demonstrate leadership through involvement in professional affairs and/or extracurricular activities related to the engineering profession, including the holding of an executive senior position in the Engineering Society, Engineers without Borders Chapter, Women in Engineering or participation in an engineering competition. One recipient from the Department of Civil Engineering will be chosen by the Departmental Awards Committee based on the above criteria.
