Awarded for excellence in fourth-year design.

Simon Chang/Phyllis Levine Foundation Award
Up to $1000

Awarded for overall academic proficiency in the design component including sports wear, day wear and evening wear, continuing into fourth year with the highest academic standing in Advanced Fashion Design II.

Presented to a third-year Fashion Design student who has attained the highest academic standing, specializing in menswear and continuing in menswear for their fourth-year collection.

Holt Renfrew James Brandl Award
Up to $1500

Awarded to a student who is a Canadian citizen, permanent resident or protected person; must be an Ontario resident; demonstrate financial need; a full-time student enrolled in the third or fourth year of the Fashion Communication or Design program in the School of Fashion; must demonstrate their creative potential, outstanding communication skills, and an interest in the retail management sector of the fashion business.

Helen and Sulo Hutko Award
Up to $1000 x 6

To be eligible students must be Canadian citizen, permanent resident or protected person, be an Ontario resident, demonstrate financial need, be enrolled full-time in second, third or fourth year of the Fashion Communication or Fashion Design program, be in clear academic standing, demonstrate overall excellence in their studies with a minimum CGPA of 3.00.  Must submit a written application including their CV. Must submit a 500-word essay describing their extraordinary contribution to the School of Fashion, Ryerson University and the community, or submit a letter of support from a faculty member detailing this contribution.

Two awards are available to first-year students in Fashion Communication and Fashion Design; must be a Canadian citizen, permanent resident or protected person, must be an Ontario resident, achieved a minimum 80% average in 6 best Grade 12 U/M courses; outstanding entrance portfolio; and must demonstrate financial need.

Kate Macdonald Memorial Scholarship
Up to $1800
Awarded to a student who is a a Canadian citizen, permanent resident or protected person; must be an Ontario resident; demonstrates financial need; a full-time student enrolled in third year of the Fashion Communication program; must have a clear academic standing; must have a minimum CGPA of 3.50; must demonstrate their past commitment as a volunteer, with a strong indication of their humanitarian interests, and their impact on Fashion journalism and publishing.

NAMSB Foundation Inc. Jack C. Lebowitz Award for Excellence in Men's Wear Design
Up to $900

Awarded to a third-year student in the Fashion Design program, who is a Canadian citizen, permanent resident or protected person; must be an Ontario resident; demonstrates financial need; must be in clear academic standing with a minimum CGPA of 3.00; must demonstrate interest and commitment in the area of Men's wear.

Maggy Reeves Fashion Design Award in the School of Fashion
Up to $1500

Awarded to a student who is a Canadian citizen, permanent resident or protected person; must be an Ontario resident; demonstrate financial need; full-time student with a clear academic standing; demonstrate overall excellence with a minimum CGPA of 3.00; exhibit a high level of design and craftsmanship in a garment from their eveningwear collection, produced in their second year of study in the Fashion Design that most closely resembles Maggy Reeves original or Maggy Reeves design philosophy.

Carrie Souter Memorial Award
Up to $900

To be eligible a student must be a Canadian citizen, permanent resident or protected person, must be an Ontario resident, must demonstrate financial need, must be currently enrolled full-time in the Fashion undergraduate program, be in clear academic standing, and have a minimum CGPA of 3.00. They must demonstrate excellence in design and illustration style in the design created and executed in their apparel design course and illustrated in their visual communication course. The illustration submission may either be new, original work or a completed project from FFC404, FFD414 or FSN700.

Up to $5000

One award is available to a first-year student in Fashion Communication or Fashion Design; must be a Canadian citizen, permanent resident or protected person, must be an Ontario resident, demonstrate financial need; must be a full-time (4-6 courses) student; in clear academic standing; achieved a minimum 80% average in 6 best Grade 12 U/M courses; and outstanding entrance portfolio.
