Open to senior students in the School of Journalism and the School of Radio and Television Arts. The student must be officially registered in third year of the Journalism degree program or the RTA degree program, Television major only; student's work should exhibit the following qualities: outstanding creativity in a television documentary which builds bridges of communication and understanding between people of different faiths or cultures; must be in good academic standing and should not be failing or carrying any courses; minimum GPA 3.33 (B+); demonstrated interest in pursuing a career in Television.

Open to students officially registered in third or fourth year of the Journalism degree program or the Radio and Television Arts degree program, Television major only. The award is open to members of visible minorities, Aboriginal students or students with a disability. (In the case of a student with a disability they should be registered with Ryerson's Access Centre or be willing to register.) Students must have a cumulative grade point average of 2.75 or better, have clear academic standing and demonstrated interest in pursuing a career in Television.
